CHORALE 3/6
Objectives:
The students will be able to identify elements of the Choral Score and how to apply them to music learning.
The students will be able to describe the differences between and provide creative examples of Beat/Rhythm/Tempo
The students will apply diaphragmatic breathing to singing and will record/perform their first short excerpts.

CAMERATA
Objectives:
1. The students will be able to apply two different methods of identifying intervals in music through ear training.
2. (Tashy's Lesson) The students will be able to use the 'straw method' to focus breath energy and apply it to diaphragmatic breathing. The idea behind this is for the students to release all tension through out the singing mechanism and to efficiently use the diaphragm for breath support, rather than 'muscling through'.

BAND ORCHESTRA
Objectives:
The students will be able to determine the key of a song based on the key signature, be able to construct key signatures based on the number and order of sharps/flats
The students will be able to explain the circle of 5ths and apply it to identify/determine key signatures.
Students will be able to evaluate their playing technique and identify an area that needs improvement, and create a plan of action/practice to remedy it
