Spring Concert Music Prep - April 26-May 15

Orchestra - Objectives and Repertoire

The students will be able to play using proper technique specific to bowing, tonguing, breath support, etc.

The students will be able to identify and properly count the different time signatures and meters found in the music, and be able to go from one to another without losing time.

The students will be able to play the correct phrasing, dynamic contrast, and with 90% or greater accuracy.

The students will be able to identify faulty intonation and self correct.

The students will be able to sing using proper diaphragmatic breathing to produce a full, free, and pleasing tone.

The students will be able to analyze rehearsal outcomes and will be able to identify problems and offer solutions for any issues regarding technique, repertoire, expressive movement.

The students will have memorized all their music for Spring Concert

The students will be able to implement proper phrasing and articulation of text and dynamic contrast.
